ClipEngine AI is an AI-powered metadata generation tool designed to assist stock footage contributors with creating titles, descriptions, keywords, and category suggestions for video clips intended for submission to third-party stock footage marketplaces.
Important: Screenshots only — your footage is never uploaded.
To analyse a clip, you upload one or more static screenshots (still images) taken from your video. ClipEngine AI processes these screenshots to generate metadata suggestions. The actual video file is never transmitted to, stored by, or processed by ClipEngine AI or its service providers. You are solely responsible for capturing and selecting appropriate screenshots from your own footage.
The metadata generated by the Service is a suggestion only. It is not a guarantee of marketplace acceptance, approval, quality assessment, or commercial success. You remain fully responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all metadata before submission to any platform.
The Service may include additional features such as keyword research tools, audit checks, history logging, and intelligence panels. All such features are provided as-is and are subject to these Terms.
The Service is provided solely as an assistance tool. All decisions regarding content submission, metadata accuracy, copyright compliance, model release obligations, property release obligations, editorial classification, and platform suitability are your sole responsibility.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of ClipEngine AI, its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, business interruption, or cost of substitute services — arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service.
Aggregate liability cap: In no event shall the total aggregate liability of the operator exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount paid by you to ClipEngine AI in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars (USD $50). This cap applies regardless of the number of claims or the form of action.

You retain full ownership of the screenshots you upload and of any metadata output generated by the Service based on your inputs. The operator of ClipEngine AI does not claim ownership over your footage, your screenshots, or the AI-generated metadata produced for your clips.
By uploading screenshots to the Service, you grant ClipEngine AI a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process those screenshots solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. Screenshots are processed transiently and are not retained beyond the period necessary to complete your request, as described in our Privacy Policy.
The ClipEngine AI name, logo, application design, workflow architecture, AI prompt system, and all associated intellectual property are owned exclusively by the operator and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of the Service without express written permission.
When you submit metadata to third-party stock footage marketplaces, you are subject to those platforms' own terms of service and intellectual property policies. ClipEngine AI has no affiliation with, endorsement by, or control over any third-party platform, and bears no responsibility for their decisions.
ClipEngine AI does not guarantee marketplace acceptance. The metadata generated by this Service is a starting point — not a guarantee of approval, discoverability, or sales on any stock footage platform. Marketplace acceptance decisions are made solely by the respective platforms based on their own criteria, which are entirely outside our control and may change at any time without notice.

ClipEngine AI is offered on a subscription basis. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees as displayed at the time of purchase. All fees are charged in advance for each billing period.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operator of ClipEngine AI, and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, judgements, awards, losses, costs, expenses, and fees (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which the operator is based, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us directly. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve disputes within 30 days of receiving written notice of the dispute.
If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration or in the courts of the operator's jurisdiction, at the operator's election, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. You waive any right to a jury trial and agree not to participate in any class action or class-wide arbitration against ClipEngine AI.
Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify registered users by email or through the Service.
Your continued use of the Service after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.
